We live in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to all Calgary amenities, we live across the street from a public library and public indoor pool and recreation center. We live within a 5-minute walk from a large supermarket, and 10 minutes walk from a large shopping mall. We do not have children that live at home, but they do visit from time to time. We live in a very beautiful clean house with a cat. We have internet with wifi and cable television. We have hosted international students before and look forward to being someone host Canadian family. I work as a medical office assistant. Our home has just been renovated. We added a new bathroom in our ground floor area. Airport bus comes every 30 minutes on our streets depending on schedules. Please check on websites Calgary transit bus schedules. Additional Info: Only English spoken our home although, I'm from Philippines. Parking is unlimited in our area. Airport PICK-UP extra charge of $50.00Canadian dollars.

I was very happy with my Homestay experience at Marilyn’s place. Everything there was perfect, the house and the location. As soon as I arrived there, she welcomed me, she gave me the keys to my room and made me feel good about my choice of being there. Everyone there was friendly, warm and welcoming. She and her family are extremely helpful, she gave me directions and hints about the services and the amenities in the neighborhood. I like living in the suburbs not in the city and this location was perfect for me, it's near the transit bust stops, the buses to downtown and the airport are flowing through the center street around the clock, the services are great and close to the place. The accommodation was as good as I imagined it would be and exactly the same in the pictures. I enjoyed every minute I spent there and I recommend Marilyn's place as your first choice for a Homestay in Calgary.

Marilyn is a warm and wonderful host. As soon as I arrived I felt very welcomed like part of the family and I was received with a smile. Even though I arrived late at night I was accommodated very well and the entire check in process was stress free which was a huge bonus as I was tired from my trip. The location is also excellent. Its very centrally located within minutes from downtown and its close to everything in the area as well including a public library, recreation center, supermarkets, a strip mall and a transit stop with many bus routes and options at your disposal. Marilyn also has 2 adorable cats that are very well trained and quiet which I loved. I also liked the interaction and constant communication with Marilyn which was really nice to be apart of. I never once felt alone. I would definitely recommend Marilyn for anyone who wants a caring and loving host that would go far and beyond to make sure that you are satisfied and comfortable with your entire stay. You wont be disappointed at all and you will never feel like an outsider at this homestay.

If you live in this house, don't complain. Even if you are not bad. If you're obediently listening to what your host mother says, the problem won't happen.I was going to stay for 75 days. But I gave up and stayed for 41 days. No full refund. If you request a shorter stay, the resident of this house will be a different person.I think ”Don't impose your values on others.”Thank you.

The home was convenient for buses. The bed was comfortable & the room nice. Marilyn was alright but Different, At first she wanted me to stay on, & then she didn’t. Generally it was alright.

I stayed at marilyn house for 6 month. It was my first overseas trip in my life. I was very worried, but marilyn really made me feel like a family. She took me to rocky mountain camping and when i was sick she gave medicine and chicken soup. The animals in this house also made me happy. Sarah was so lovely and booboo was cool. Living at marilyn house was always fun. I recommend staying at the marilyn house to anyone visiting calgary.

I was extremely pleased with my Homestay experience at Marilyn’s. Upon arrival, I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable with Marilyn and her family. Everyone was outgoing, friendly, and helpful providing me with great knowledge about the city, directions, and bus routes. The location is perfect for someone using the transit system in Calgary and needing access to the University and downtown. It was also incredibly convenient for groceries, leisure, and restaurants. The accommodation was exactly as pictured and it had plenty of space. The pets in the home were equally as wonderful as the hosts. I recommend a Homestay with Marilyn, and hope to visit again very soon.
