This homestay is in the perfect position for staying in Galle. Right in the fort with an amazing roof top view of the ocean and the Lighthouse. These guys are also so amazing that I was slightly teary to leave them. You simply have to stay here. We asked to arrive a day early having been on Safari in Yala. They immediately accommodated us for one night in their other family guest house to the rear of their home stay. They told us that their house was our house! they assisted with getting a tuk tuk to the beach which worked out a lot cheaper than a quote we got from a guy on the street. The same tuk tuk driver - a friend of Kusumsiri's also took us by tuk tuk to Hikkaduwa with all our luggage! Amazingly it all fit and was a lot cheaper than a taxi and less hassle than the train. Kusumsiri's wife (she is lovely!) made a great breakfast with perfectly seasoned eggs and hoppers, which was a rival for the five star hotel we later stayed in. Tea was always perfectly brewed, which even some Sri Lankans didn't get right. Breakfast was served on the roof top which is a real feature of the home stay, a great place to relax and enjoy the early evening before going out. The rooms are immaculate and clean as are the towels and bed linen. There are some very expensive looking hotels emerging in the Galle Fort which I'm sure are lovely, but this place is great! The hosts are very attentive and such lovely people.Having stayed in other homestays around the world I recommend this homestay very highly.
