La pension d'Eldys est située dans la ville de Buena Ventura, dans CiÃ(c)naga de Zapata, province de Matanzas, Cuba. Zapata que le marais est le plus grand parc national au Cuba, situé dans les sud de l'île, il est le plus grand marécage dans les Caraïbe. Migration et site d'habitat pour des centaines d'espèces exotiques et indigènes d'oiseau, qui emploient ces beaux endroits pour vivre et se reproduire. C'est l'endroit où les seules espèces du crocodile cubain habite, étant dans le secteur la plus grande ferme de crocodile dans le pays. La pension d'Eldys est située sur les périphéries de Long Beach, dans une partie d'une plage tranquille, à partir du centre marche d'environ 15 minutes. La maison se compose de 3 salles, dont 2 sont loués pour des invités, parce que le propriétaire de la maison et sa famille vivent dans l'autre salle. Eldys house is in such a beautiful location, just a few steps from the beach and sea, where we enjoyed wonderful swims. The breakfasts and evening meals that Eldy and Diothen (sorry if I spelt your name wrongly!), cooked for us were always delicious, using fresh local ingredients, nicely presented...The room itself was perfectly adequate for our needs with a safe and a good shower...It was unfortunate that we did not realise until our leaving day that there was a Cadeca/somewhere to get cash out in the village - Playa Larga. Otherwise we would have gone on one or two excursions. We would also have been able to pay Eldys for our stay more promptly! However, we did walk into the nearby Zapates National Park and saw some of the fauna and flora there. Eldys was helpful and patient in phoning a taxi company for us and probably for negotiating that we did not have to pay for our onward journey to Trinidad as we had already paid for it, in Havana! I intend to learn more Spanish before my next visit to a Spanish speaking country as I couldn't get my phone to do Google translate!

Eldys and his family are charming and welcoming hosts -- I highly recommend them for a stay in Playa Larga, especially if you are interested in experiencing what nature has to offer. Their house is located right on the beach, right near the end of the village and the beginning of Ciénaga de Zapata park. Eldys helped set me up to go on a birdwatching outing -- very grateful to have had this unique experience. And the breakfasts are truly delicious -- I highly recommend taking advantage of that option!

Nuestra estancia en casa de Eldys fue estupenda. La habitación reúne todas las comodidades que se puedan necesitar y el desayuno estaba delicioso. Eldys y su familia fueron muy amables y nos ayudaron con todas las cuestiones que les planteamos.

Eldys was a great host, he helped to organise taxis and a day trip to the National Park. Is house is located right on an idyllic beach and the rooms were clean, had ensuite bathrooms and good air conditioning.

The best location you can wish for! Private beach on your door step. Really nice house and our host was really nice too. It was hard to communicate at some stage because their English and our Spanish wasnt too good but we manage to get around of what ever we needed. I would 100% recommend. We loved there, Playa Larga is small but magical place.

Casa Eldys was a fantastic place to stay in Playa Larga. The casa is right on the beach, and is located at the quieter end of the beach, 5 minute walk to the entrance to Parque Nacional Ciénaga de Zapata. The accommodations get quite dense at the other end of the beach, and we really appreciated the space and privacy at Casa Eldys. Eldys was a wonderful host and helped us set up some excellent scuba diving trips (he is a former dive master himself). His family is very kind too and we enjoyed the hospitality and excellent breakfasts and dinners. Highly recommended!!

Fantastische Lage - direkt am Strand, der Wahnsinn. Tolle und sehr saubere Zimmer. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben....

This is by far the most beautiful casa we've stayed during our holiday in Cuba. The backyard is the beach! It's paradise!! Make sure that you watch the sunrise. The room was nice and clean. It had all the facilities we needed (airco, hot water, good beds etc). The breakfast and dinner we had at Eldys casa were delicious. And they make really good pancakes in the morning! We really recommend this casa!
