My beautiful 3 story bourgeois townhouse is situated on the river Creuse, where you will enjoy ducks, house martins, herons and kingfishers flying past, and drift off to sleep with the sound of water cascading over the weir. There is a lovely 5 minute river walk from my front door to the lively town of Argenton sur Creuse which has many restaurants and bars and of course lovely bakeries for croissants and fresh baguettes on every street corner. I have a gorgeous garden (also overlooking the river as it is not attached to the house but is just five steps away) where you can enjoy my romantic stone built garden folly, it even has it's own chandelier! There are hammocks and a sun lounger which you are most welcome to share. There are two bedrooms available, both with double beds and one shared bathroom, all with lovely river views. There is lots of parking outside the house and I also have a large garage if you need to store kayaks, canoes or bikes. Argenton sur Creuse is a beautiful unspoilt medieval town and is great for fishing, canoeing, cycling or just exploring the wonderful surrounding villages and countryside, including la Brenne which is one of the largest wetlands in France where the flora and fauna are exceptional. 10 minutes in the other direction is the vast lake of Eguzon, where you can sail, swim, water ski or just lounge about on the various beaches. The area is also famous for the literary legend George Sand and her works were inspired by the beauty of this area. You are also welcome to use the wifi.
